Far be it for us to sound preachy on a Monday about “sobering” facts, but here are three that caught our attention and should yours.
First is a report at Bank Security Media Group that reckons the cost of the 2017 Equifax breach is now in the vicinity of $1.4-billion dollars.
Can you imagine walking into the CEO’s office and trying to “explain-away” that balance sheet hit? Yee-gads!
Unfortunately (with apologies to Sonny and Cher) the “beat goes on” with the Office of the Australian Information Commissions (OAIC) reporting a breach involving an estimated 10-million records.
