If JP Morgan/Chase Sees It...
It just may be true!
We refer you today to the story on the CNBC site under the headline "Jamie Dimon says risk of cyberattacks 'may be biggest threat to the US financial system."
As usual, Dimon has it exactly right in his letter to shareholders. But, that's because JP Morgan/Chase spends on the order of $600-million a year on cyber-defense.
While JP Morgan/Chase is notone of our clients (yet), we see very much the same potential for catastrophic losses due to cyber issues among our middle tier business clients in the $30-$300-million per year revenue sector.
Cyber-Armadais a specialty insurance practice focused solely on the assessment and economic optimization of cyber-defense plans in middle-tier firms.
From where we sit, Jamie Dimon's assessment that "The threat of cyber security may very well be the biggest threat to the U.S. financial system," rings true.
